A Clean & Healthy Studio

Here at Tuneful Journey, the health and safety of our families is of the utmost importance. Please read through our policies and expectations on how to keep our studio as clean and germ-free as possible

  • Our teachers will clean and sanitize all materials after each use as well as high-touch surface areas in the studio. You are always welcome to use the hand sanitizer provided, and wipes are available if you would like to clean or sanitize an instrument or prop before or after your child's use.

  • We encourage you and your child to wash your hands  with soap and warm water before and after class. Not only will this help reduce the spread of germs, it will also help protect those who need to avoid certain food allergens.

  • If you or your child is ill, please stay home! We ask that you be free from fever, vomiting, and/or diarrhea at least 24 hours before you choose to attend class. Noses should only be running clear, if at all. Please also consider how frequently you or your child may be coughing, although we do understand that not all coughs are contagious. If you do need to miss, classes can be made up anytime throughout the semester per our make-up policy.

**Please do not attend class if you or your child have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 or have recently been exposed to someone who has tested positive for the virus.**

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

Along with weekly classes, your enrollment includes digital Kindermusik materials, which contain all the music albums, books, and activity ideas from class (and more!) for you to use at home. These are not required to use, but they are definitely an added bonus if you do decide to take advantage!

We recommend installing the Kindermusik International App for easy access to these.

Additionally, you may attend unlimited make-up classes. If you're sick or just can't make it to class one day, schedule your make-up class online through your account at my.kindermusik.com. It's that simple! You may make up as many classes as you need while the current semester/class is still in session.

As a member, you will always have VIP access  to register first for upcoming classes or events before they open to the general public. As a token of our appreciation, you will receive our sibling discount - 10% off of tuition - for each additional child enrolled.

MAKE-UP POLICY

We want to make sure you have every opportunity to attend all of your classes! Please know that you may attend a make-up class at any time throughout the semester during other classes that are offered throughout the week. If you can't make it at all one week, just double up another week! If you are unable to attend another section of the same level, it is okay to switch around. Level 1 is very adaptable for a baby under 12 mos., and Level 2 can be easily adapted for babies and young toddlers.

Make-up classes should be scheduled through your account at my.kindermusik.com, which you can visit directly or access from our Parent Portal on our website.

Watch the video for more information about makeup classes.

STUDIO POLICIES

ENROLLMENT & TUITION

The fall and spring semesters each include 14 weeks of classes, which we've conveniently broken down into four equal monthly tuition installments (regardless of the number of classes that occur in a particular month). These will be taken on the first of the month, September-December for fall and January-April for spring. Enrollment is not month-to-month, nor does an installment equate to the cost of a full month’s classes. If enrolling after the start of the semester, each class you've missed thus far will be prorated.

No refunds are given for missed classes, but unlimited make-up classes are available. Summer classes and camps are also offered, but as separate enrollments.

CANCELLATION POLICY

While it is expected that you will attend classes for the entire semester (consistency and routine are best for our littles!), we know that certain circumstances can arise that will result in the need to cancel your enrollment. If you need to cancel, please do so before the 1st of the month when your card is charged. No refunds will be given if canceling after your card has already been charged on the 1st; however, you are still welcome to continue attending for as long as you are paid.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

In the case of inclement weather, classes may need to be canceled. You will be alerted by email and text (if you've opted to receive text alerts from us) at least 2 hours prior to class. If canceled, we will schedule a separate makeup class option for you. In some cases, a virtual class may be held instead of a rescheduled makeup class, although we will use this format for no more than one class per semester.

SHOES & OTHER ITEMS

All child and adult shoes should please be removed for classes. These may be stored in the cubbies or under the benches in the lobby. Please also keep car seats and larger items outside of our classrooms so they do not take up room within our space.

TOYS, FOOD, DRINK, & PHONES

To help eliminate distractions, please avoid bringing toys, food, or drinks into the studio. (Exceptions would be water bottles or bottles/nursing for infants.) Kindly silence cell phones and avoid usage during class if at all possible (except to take an adorable picture, of course!). This will help us remain present and focused on our little ones!

SIBLINGS

Foundations, Level 1, and Level 2 classes can accommodate younger siblings under 9 mos. who can remain content in an infant seat or “worn.” Once they are more mobile and able to participate, they may be enrolled in the same class as their sibling at a 50% discount. Older siblings are very welcome to sit or work quietly in our studio lobby. However, they will not be able to participate in the class due to limited space and materials and the need to keep our little participants safe.

Family Time in Levels 3 & 4 welcomes all family members!

We are incredibly excited to have you here!
