Music Programs Designed for How Kids Learn Best

The team behind the music
At the heart of our teaching team is a shared belief: our classes support whole-child development through music, movement, connection, and play, because HOW children learn is just as important as WHAT they learn.
Wendy
Wendy Nutini is the Owner and Director of Tuneful Journey, teaching Kindermusik classes for children ages 0–7. With a Bachelor’s in Music Education from Iowa State University and 14 years of experience teaching instrumental music, she brings both expertise and a deep love for early childhood development. Known for her calm, nurturing approach, Wendy connects personally with each family and believes in the power of music and movement to spark growth, confidence, and joy.

Liz
Liz Jeffries is an Accredited Kindermusik Educator who teaches Levels 2, 3, and 4. With a BSE in Elementary Education and a Kindermusik Certification, she brings energy, creativity, and humor to every class, capturing the attention of older children through imaginative pretend play. Liz is passionate about making learning fun while fostering valuable developmental skills. Outside the studio, she enjoys cross-stitching and quilting, creating clothes and costumes, reading with her book club, and sharing her love for bats, moths, and bees.

Brooke
Brooke Praska is an Accredited Kindermusik Educator and Family Outreach Coordinator, teaching Foundations and Levels 1–3. With a degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, she combines professional expertise with genuine care for families. Brooke is known for building strong connections with parents, nurturing our youngest musicians, and ensuring every family feels welcome and supported from their very first class.

Angi
Angi Nespor is our Group Piano Instructor, bringing a calm, encouraging approach to every Play a Story™ class. A UNI School of Music graduate, she’s passionate about helping children develop a love for music while building new skills through creative storytelling at the piano. Families appreciate her thoughtful teaching style — and her spontaneous gift-giving that makes every child feel special.

CONTINUING A LEGACY
Founded in 1996 as Early Childhood Music of Ames by Judy Keeling, the studio quickly became a place where families could bond, grow, and learn together. In 2017, leadership passed to Accredited Kindermusik Educator Wendy Nutini, who brought her own passion and fresh vision to the community.
Since then, Tuneful Journey has been recognized annually as a Kindermusik International Top Program, placing us in the top 5% of studios worldwide.
