Camp Descriptions
Your child will embark on an unforgettable adventure as we hop like frogs, stomp like elephants, dance a Jungle Dance, and do a Kangaroo Bounce. Through all of this engaging imaginative and cooperative play, we will enhance our social and emotional development and build a strong sense of community and belonging. Favorites include the use of our puppets and a jungle hike "at night" with flashlights!
Our highly popular Jazz Kitchen summer camp is back! This exceptional camp takes jazz music into the kitchen with singing, dancing, instrument playing, drama, arts/crafts, food preparation and more! Your child will explore food in its many dimensions - shopping, dicing, preparing - all to the rhythms and sounds of jazz. A highlight is making noodles from scratch (yes, for real!), and we are sure to set aside time to play the studio's blue piano!
Join us as we hop on our imaginary bikes to travel to the mountains and then the beach on a journey that will have us mastering our gross-motor and cross-lateral skills. The magical combination of movement and pretend play will guide the fun and bring our adventure to life! Our xylophone ensemble and beach shaker craft are true highlights!
Your child will set sail aboard the S.S. Pretend, become pirates hunting for treasure, and transform into royalty as they embark on this action-packed music-and-movement-filled adventure! By pretending, imagining, and dramatizing, children build language and communication skills, develop their capacity for empathy and cooperation, and practice creative problem solving. Favorite activities include hunting for the treasure chest each day and decorating our crowns to wear at the "castle."
